WATCH: Incredible footage shows UFO hover above mountain before mysteriously disappearing

Video has emerged of a UFO flying across the sky – before mysteriously vanishing.

The sighting has sparked a frenzy on social media with some truth seekers suggesting this is the real deal.

But others claim the footage is a hoax to increase online traffic for a filmmaker’s website.

The film shows a circular-shaped object flying above the mountains in El Alto, a city in the north-west Bolivian region La Paz.

It was uploaded onto a UFO-spotting website dedicated to exhibiting evidence of extraterrestrial life on Earth.

It has been shared on UFO sites worldwide – and reported by international media outlets.

But Mexican newspaper Excelsior claims the video is fake and was made using a digital editing program.

A YouTube user wrote: "Not sure what to think of this one", whilst another joked "Cocaine pick up? That is one big ship."

Last week there was widespread panic after a massive fireball burned across the sky above Las Vegas.
